Subject: transfer the offline file

Hello,
I have to solve two tasks
1- Transfer the file to offline user.
2- Transfer the file to user(offline/online) at time and date specified by client while sending the file

Do please guide me how to proceed in xmpp to accomplish these tasks

there are no existing XMPP extensions for bith requirements. There is only real time file transfer in XMPP.
You have to create your own extensions. You could upload the file to a http server, ftp server or smth sililar and send a message with a link or a custom packet to the offline client. You could also write a special component for you server like the jabber disk [1] component.

Thanks for idea. With your idea i get the idea how to do offline file transfer. Do please write some detail idea what to do in case of sending file at specified time and date

Hello,
The component you suggested me is in python can i integrate it in C#.
Also how to write xmpp server component i have no experience in this please suggest some link to start in this domain.
One more question which might not be feasible in this forum but i am having trouble might any 1 could help me. On Server we have we have windows vista 64 bit when i install ejabberd on this server i have two problems:
1-ejabberd 2.0.5 and 2.0.4 fails on last step saying executing final script and then they dont start the server
2-version 2.0.3 installs successfully but doesnt start the server says that error occured

Help in above mentioned problems needed. Sorry if few questions are outside the rules of this forum

this component must be installed on your server. So the programming language of the component does not matter as long as python runs on your server.

Hello,
I implemented a work around to transfer offline file between two users. For this i created a offlinedispatcher class which would register as a new user to my server. My idea that this would remain online always and would mediate the offline file transfer.
Now i want to configure so that all users who are registered(make account) on my server automatically get this user added to their contact list.
Do please suggest the way how to do this?
