Desktop sharing using XMPP

Subject: Desktop sharing using XMPP
Hello,
In theory sharing desktop to remote pc or in client-server architecture should be possible via xmpp. As baseline i am using xmpp for communication .
As an idea i am thinking to capture screen images and transfer via xmpp to remote user(online xmpp user) calling remote procedure calls to user viewer application to view images on her(xmpp user in contact list) screen.

Other ideas and comments on my idea are appreciated and needed

yes this is possible.

Take also a look at the jingle extensions which are for media like audio and video. Sharing a desktop is silimar to a video call.
You can also design your own extensions based on other existing desktop sharing protocols like VNC.
