Subject: Question to VC++ implementation
Hi,

great work!
However I tried to open the VCC Sendmessage source code demo and do not know how to make a reference to the "fitting" DLL file.
Please help me a little bit to the right direction :)
I get the agsXMPP missing namespace error while compiling the demo.
Which DLL should I use for VC2005? Would like the Net11 version (what is CF2?).
And please tell me the steps to get the needed reference to the DLL file, I cannot find the way.

Regards

CF2 stands for Compact Framework 2 which you need if you want to develop for Mobile devices..
Why do you want to work with .NET 1.1? I would suggest at least 2.0 and the Net2 dll.

Any reason why you are working with VC++ .NET instead of c#?

Hi,

thank you for your response.
Today I started my computer and the namespace was known? Seems I needed to restart something.

Why Net1.1 : It is good to support blank computers, where only XP is installed without the need of a framework at all.
I think C++ programmer will always get their software working without the need of a "install party" for the enduser.
We talk about start and work (not PnP). From my point .net 1.1 is too much.
Please think that there are normal users online which only want to install and work with a software and do not know about .net 1,2,3,3.5 ...

I tried now the sendmessage  sample. I copied the 1.1 DLL files in the debug directory and it is running ... but not doing.
It jumps to all commands, but I do not see a "good" or "false" return value :(
The PSI client did not noticed the login of my account.

Is there a response? The debug output did not show anything.

Hmmm, I copied the Net2 DLL and now it is working.

works for me. This is a Visual Studio problem that references dlls are often missing when you open the project files on another machine.

Then back to the original question:
that references dlls are often missing
Where you type that reference? Where is it?
