Its pretty easy to use the miniclient. Call the Login Form over the File->Connect menu, enter your login data and press the login button.
You should already have an account on a jabber/xmpp server when doing that. When you dont have an account yet, then you should create one on a public server[1]. The best to do this would be to use a jabber client of your choice from this list[2].
Playing around with a "real" jabber client is also very good for learning jabber/xmpp.

Hi,

The miniClient requires the assembly agsXMPP_Desktop but it doesn't exists....so I compiled the agsXMPP and added the reference for it...Now, the miniClient compile fine....but not connect to server anymore...

If I download the compiled version of miniClient it work fine...

i think you can import the agsXMPP insdead of  agsXMPP_Desktop
then you can run it , but i got another error . you can run it ,and pull out the error messages.

it will not find the reference because you probably have another directory structure than me. I always reference to the source code and have both in one project group. So just remove the reference and add it again. Take the binary from the sample, compile your own or make a group with the source. All this solutions will work.

I did it:

Added references for the project agsXMPP_Desktop.csproj into MiniClient.sln

Now, the MiniClient compile fine and run.....but not work correct.

Again I say, if you download the samples and run Miniclient.exe it work fine.

How Can I solve it ?

hi,

the binary that works for you is compiled with exactly the same source code. Its using the agsXMPP.dll from the same directory as the exe.
So reference to that dll or the source code.
For solving your problems please tell us what kind of errors you get and give us more information.

I found the problem.

The agsXMPP_Desktop.csproj uses "Mono.Security.dll" and doesn't work on Windows machine without Mono.

The define "SSL" is actived, the compile will not work because it will try to uses "Mono.Security.dll".

What I did to correct ?

Rename the define "SSL" to "SSL_MONO"
Remove the uses of "Mono.Security.dll"

Now, MiniClient and Server is working fine but without SSL support.

Try it :

Open MiniClient;
Connect to server;
Close MiniClient;

The MiniClient will continue running into "Task Manager".

To solve this problem XmppClientConnection must implement IDispose
