Subject: agsXMPP.sln
I downloaded the source code on agsXMPP version 0.33 but when I tried to open agsXMPP.sln, it couldn't find the project file. I supposed this solution is for the PocketPC version and I should build this solution and use the dll generated for my app.

hello ongbeech,

there are 2 project files.
agsXMPP.sln is for pocket pc and smartphone (.NET Compact Framework)
agsXMPPDesktop.sln is for Desktop PC (.NET Framework or Mono)

I can't open agsXMPP.sln. It gave me an error, "Unable to read the project file 'agsXMPP.csdproj' ".

are you using visual studio?
When yes which version? The project files are build for Visual Studio .NET 2003.

I have tried your desktop version and it works perfectly except for the compact framework one. I downloaded the zip file and unzipped the files. Are you able to open agsXMPP.sln?

Microsoft Development Environment 2003 Version 7.1.3088
Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Version 1.1.4322
Compact Framework v1.0.3705

And yes, I'm using Visual Studio .Net 2003

hi,

yes i just downloaded the zip file from the homepage and i was able to open both files without problems. Also the project files are included in the zip file. Can you try to open the project file directly? Or look in the files if there is a absolute path that is wrong or smth else.

yes, do you have the .NET smartphone addons installed? This could be the problem perhaps. because the project file is for smartpone. But the same code and binary works under PPC as well.

Great! I installed SmartPhoneSDK 2003 and can open the solution file. Will try to work on it now. Hope everything will work well.

i created a new zip file with 3 solutions now:

agsXMPP_Desktop.sln
agsXMPP_PPC.sln
agsXMPP_Smartphone.sln

you can check it out under:
http://www.ag-software.net/download/xmpp/agsxmpp_new.zip

The PPC solution file should work now for you.
