Subject: About Jingle
hi,Alex

I'm new to agsXMPP and have been learning jingle. However, I didn't find the corresponding namespace in agsxmpp sdk. I'd like to know if jingle is implemeted in agsxmpp; and if so, where to find it. It would be great if you could show me some examples.

        thanks!

hi Kevin,

jingle is not released yet for agsXMPP. The Jingle specs were changing a lot in the past which is the reason why we never released the code. But i think now its time to check all this code again and release it soon.

Take also a look at this thread:

Let me know if you have more jingle questions.

The XSF is currently finalizing the Jingle specs. After this is done we refactor our Jingle code to make it compatible with the XEPs. The Jingle extensions changed a lot in the past, its not productive for us to publish code for XEPs which are heavy under development. The same happens currently with the CAPS XEP. I think we updated caps support 3 times in the last month in agsXMPP and we have to update it again.

XMPP does the negotiation of voice, video file etc... So we add only the XMPP part. To have a working Jingle implementation you need much more than only the XMPP part. There is also RTP, ICE, codecs and other stuff.
