Subject: sending files to gtalk
the MiniClient could not send files to gtalk, it just did not give any response, and neither gtalk.

if sending files from gtalk to MiniClient, gtalk will tell that "You cannot send files because (user) is using chat in Gmail or is using another chat program."

so, could we(and how to) set the "Resource" to simulate the gtalk client so it believes MiniClient "is" gtalk?

You have to implement Jingle, as Google Talk can't use anything else, I believe.

Google is using a own proprietary extension based on Jingle for file transfers.
They don't use one of the extensions defined by the XSF which is the reason why you can't transfer files to GTalk.
