Subject: file transfer under NAT
Hi,

Is it possible to transfer file with Miniclients between two PCs under the "same" NAT firewall by using a file transfer proxy server ?

And

1. for the firewall setting to open tcp port for the file stream, which ports should I open for the Miniclient ? is it 7777 ??

2. Any public file transfer proxy server available for testing ? Can I use the proxy.ag-software.de ?
I tried it, but not work.

Thanks

yes, this is exactly the use case for the file transfer proxy.

This depends on the configuration of the file transfer proxy. Normally you send a query to the file transfer proxy and it returns the port.

There is one running on jabber.org. We currently setup a new server which means our file transfer proxy does not work correct.
But i always recommend to setup a own test server in your local network for testing. Openfire is very eass to setup and ships with a proxy.
