Using StartTLS
StartTLS problem

Subject: Using StartTLS
I really need your knowledge.
When i enable StartTLS in my computer and try to connect to a server  the hall network of my computer stops responding (no web, no smtp nothing).
Do you think there must be a port problem or there is something else i should know?

This is very weird, we never heard of a problem like that. Are you using the .NET 1.1 or 2.0 version? Normally StartTLS is enabled by default.

Thanks again for the quick answer.
I am using .net framework v1.1.
I havent seen that problem in another computer, and i cannot find out what the reason is.
Possibly some Emule-Bitcommet p-p client?
They dont use the xmpp ports.

Hello,

we have one customer that has such a similar problem on only one machine of 500 running the software. But he wasn't able to debug the code and locate the problem yet. This customer said this is his only dual core or multi processor machine.
