Subject: Matrix connecting behind an AWS ELB with encryption
we have ejabberd as our server on AWS sitting behind an Amazon ELB.  We'd like to have Matrix connect using standard TLS directly to the ELB (on port 5223, for example), which will in turn forward the unencrypted TCP connection to ejabberd on port 5222.  Some of our other XMPP clients work with this scenario by selecting "use old SSL connection" type instead of STARTTLS.  But we haven't been able to find how to set Matrix into such a mode.

This is supported in MatriX, but not on all available MatriX platforms. In the full .Net version you will find the Boolean property on the XmppClient for old style SSL.
