Subject: Anonymous login
Hi,

I'm trying to use anonymous login   base from 6.3 Anonymous login guide  (developer tutorial)

  1. xmppClient.Server = "myserver.com";
  2. xmppClient.AnonymousLogin = true;
  3. xmppClient.Open();
  4.
  5. private void xmppClient_OnBind(object sender, JidEventArgs e)
  6. {
  7.     var myJid = e.Jid;
  8. }

Problem:
Why is this code  xmppClient.Server  or Server Property doesn't exist from the intellisense?  And I can't  connect  to the server using anonymous user?

I found not consistent from the developer tutorial guide and the from the framework.

Please help..  I need to connect using Anonymous user.

Thanks

no idea why your intellisense does not work. Maybe a problem with your Visual Studio.
The code looks good.

Please post your complete Xml log, then we can see why it does not login.

Hi Alex,

   The only intellisense I've got is the code below

    xmppClient.AnonymousLogin = true;
    xmppClient.Open();

   I don't have this property:
    xmppClient.Server = "myserver.com";

    Question:
         How can I give you the log even the code itself doesn't work and doesn't have the property to assign the servername?

     I'm using a MAC with Xamarin Studio on it.

  Note:
      If I'm using with the username and password it works well the properties are there. Here's  the code below:

  1. xmppClient.SetUsername (_username);
  2. xmppClient.SetXmppDomain (_xmppDomain);
  3. xmppClient.Password = _password;
  4.
  5. xmppClient.Status = "ready for chat";
  6. xmppClient.Show = Matrix.Xmpp.Show.Chat;
  7. xmppClient.ResolveSrvRecords = false;
  8. xmppClient.Hostname = _hostName;
  9.
  10. xmppClient.Open ();

Thanks
