Subject: How to get the status of user in gmail even they are invisible...?
Hai Guys i new to XMPP and also these kind of programming...I listed my Question below please Help me.

1)How to check whether the user in offline or invisible...
     
2)How to directly interact with the user...(without server is possible or not?)?

3)How check whether our message is received or not?

please help me...

please post the code for java using smack package.......

when you get no presence this means the user is offline. Invisible is not an official XMPP status and makes no sense at all.

There is an extensions XEP-0174: Serverless Messaging for this.

there are various extensions for this. E.g.

sorry, can't help you with this we support only our own libraries with code here. You have to ask for this in the Ignite Realtime community.

Can u explain in detail about invisible status in Google...

i want to create a messenger for my own to find the invisible person also...

u will also provide code in Ur own library ..

Hai Alex thanks for ur reply..

First i will Explain my dought clearly......

In Gmail,igoogle,orkut,gtalkLabEdition(desktop Client Application) support invisible mode.....

I have seen Some program  in pearl to find the invisible users in gtalk....

but i think its not working.....

My need is to find the invisible people also by my own chat client.....

Here i will need to know how the user in gmail show them as offline even though they are online.

Is there any way to find them .....

My idea is when i get login using my client i need to update the user status directly by sending some stealh mode xmmp data to the user and get the acknowledment for the sent message. If the acknowledgement is recieved the is online but showing his satus as unavailable....If no acknowledgement is recieved from them they are realy online.....

This i my idea to find them there is client available to find the invisible users of gmail....
But it invoke the invisible group chat window of the corresponding user to find them they are invisible or not,.... But i whant to do it in Stealth mode...

when a user is invisible then there is no way to figure this out. When you don't get a presence of such a user then you are also unable to send queries to such a user an get a reply. Unlike other IM protocols XMPP is secure, and it wouldn't be secure when there is a way to detect if somebody is online when he hides the presence with a invisible mode or directed presence.

Because it is not possible according to the XMPP protocols. If it works on the GTalk server then this is an security issue on the server and should be fixed. I am not interested support such hacks here.
