Subject: Verisoning problem with Silverlight - matrix.dll
hi,

What silverlight version does Matrix.dll work with. I tried to add a reference to the matrix.dll in a silverlight project I have but I got an exception complaining about versioning.targetframeworkattribute when trying to do a build . Im running VS 2008 and silverlight 3 toolkit. Im not in a position to upgrade system.

Is there a Matrix.dll built to silverlight 3 I could access?

Thanks

Mike

With the latest release I switched the target to SL4.
When required I can provide also SL3 compatible builds.

For evaluation it does not matter if you use SL4 or 3. If you are evaluating the product then please install the latest Silverlight SDK.

here is a link to an previous release which should target SL3.
http://www.ag-software.net/download/xmpp/MatriX_SL_1.2.1.0…

What is the reason for sticking to 3.0? In the past all our customers were requesting updates to the latest Silerlight versions always very fast.

Thanks again..Ive got it to compile - Im just interesting in seeing the BOSH connection working in silverlight.

Ive ran into a problem - I get an exception "Security Error" when trying to connect to my openfire (3.7.0) My code is:

  1. xmppClient.SetUsername("futureeverything");
  2. xmppClient.SetXmppDomain("XXXXXXX.XXXX.XX.uk");
  3. xmppClient.Password = "XXX";
  4.
  5. xmppClient.Transport = Matrix.Net.Transport.BOSH;
  6. xmppClient.Uri = new System.Uri("http://XXXXX.XXXX.XX.XX:7070/http-bind/");
  7. xmppClient.Status = "I'm chatty";
  8. xmppClient.Show = Matrix.Xmpp.Show.chat;
  9. xmppClient.Open();

I guess its a cross domain issue perhaps? My crossdomain policy file is like this:

  1. <?xml version="1.0"?>
  2. <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
  3. <cross-domain-policy>
  4.     <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all"/>
  5.     <allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="5222,5223,7070" secure="true"/>
  6. </cross-domain-policy>

Not sure if im missing something

Thanks

Try the file we are using here:
http://matrix.ag-software.de/crossdomain.xml

this worked for many other users while the Openfire default file doesnt.

  1. <?xml version="1.0"?>
  2. <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
  3. <cross-domain-policy> <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all"/>
  4.     <allow-access-from domain="*"/> <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*"/>
  5. </cross-domain-policy>
