Subject: Facebook auth
Hello,

Using a desktop application,

1) Is it possible to login with X_FACEBOOK_PLATFORM with the AUTH2 Access Token, or just the old REST session key?

2) What are the exact username (or id?) and and domain in order to use the MD5 ? Does it work for verified users with chosen name only?

Thanks

On my desktop application, when using X_FACEBOOK_PLATFORM with Graph API secret and AccessToken, I get 'not authorized'.
But with the old REST API secret and SessionKey it works fine.

I saw some questions about this in facebook's forums, and it looks like they support only the REST session key (or used to support only it...)

Is there any other difference except the secret and access token, that might cause the 'not authorized' response?

Thanks

I guess you have to ask this question in the Facebook forums.
In MatriX the X_FACEBOOK_PLATFORM SASL mechanism is implemented according to the documentation at Facebook here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/chat/

Be aware that you also get a not authorized error from the server which you do not request the xmpp_login permission

I have the xmpp_login, but result in not-authorized.

Has anyone successfully used the graph api's access token?

Thanks

Apparently, the session key is the middle part of the access token between the pipes

e.g.: accessToken = 999|123-456|888, then sessionKey = 123-456

(Now need to see if I can get the REST secret...)
