Subject: MatriX for Silverlight -> Microsoft Windows Phone 7 and other platforms
Hi Alex,

finishing the fat client side with MatriX .net  and starting with Matrix for Silverlight I've some questions about it:

On what platforms the current Matrix Silverlight lib is designed to run?
My questions points especially to the mobile platforms WP7 and Android as well as to moonlight and potentially other platforms.
Are there platform specific topics regarding Matrix Silverlight?
What is your roadmap concerning Matrix Sliverlight?

Thanks for your answer.

WP7 is based on Silverlight. But the WP7 SDK is not the same as the Silverlight SDK for browsers. So the current Silverlight version targets all browsers with Silverlight on Windows and MacOS or Moonlight. But its not compatible with WP7. I also have a WP7 version (see my blog). But because WP7 supports no sockets and no background applications the usage of XMPP on WP7 is limited to BOSH only and you get disconnected when you start another appp because your app cannot continue running in the background.

Hi Alex,
wow fast answer ...  ;-)

Last visit of your Blog is times ago.

Hmmm the limits seem ok for me:
- BOSH only is ok since public openfire 3.7.0 Beta supports BOSH now.
- Disconnecting in background needs a reconnect back in foreground - let me have look how to implement ...

May I try your WP7 Silverlight SDK?

Thanks
Martin
