Subject: User name and password authentication problem

hi,alex
now i can connect to my openfire server,but it dont can verify user name and password, so i dont know what can i how to do this?

put the username in the Username property and the password in the Password property of the XmppClient object before you connect.
MatriX will use this credentials for authentication then.

thank you for your reply.this is my code ,if it is connect ,this username and password is wrong,is dont get the friend list.but username and password is true,it can get the friend list.
   this the connect code:
      xmppClient.Username=Contact.UserName;
      xmppClient.Password = Contact.Password;



      xmppClient.XmppDomain = "****";

      xmppClient.Uri = new Uri("http://****:7070/http-bind/");
      xmppClient.Show = Matrix.Xmpp.Show.chat;

i say that is so the password and the username is wrong ,what can i do? server dont reply this message, say this password is wrong or this username is wrong. How should I let customers know them to input the wrong user name and password?

MatriX only forwards the error message of the server to you. Please consult your server vendor and ask if this behaviour can be changed.
But I guess not. Most servers do this for security reason. When a server would tell you that the username is wrong then malicious software could detect which users are registered and which not. This is a security leak.
