Subject: can I program an xmpp/jabber server using agsxmpp lib

Hi everyone

Me and My friends at the college are taring to program an xmpp/jabber server(Simple) with c#

I'm wondering if we can use the agsxmpp library to program this Simple-server

We have tried the example server that came with the library help But it didn't work correctly

anyone can help me here >>>

Yes you can. There are missing lots of features in the server example. But its good to get started with server programming. If you want to code your own sever you have to study and understand the XMPP RFC's.

Thanks a lot

But In the server example can I do a simple chat between two clients

And if i studied the Openfire Server source (which is programed with Java) can this help
(I only know how to program in .Net )

its pretty easy. Just keep a Table in memory with all connections and the assigned jid of the connection. Then you can pass the message from one connection to the other.

IMHO no, Openfire is a complete server with tons of features.
Many people wrote small servers based on agsXMPP before. I think it makes more sense to download and study one of them. One link is here in the forums in "show your app". The Google search should find more servers.
