Does anyone know if agSXMPP libary support IPv6?

I'd like to develope Pocket PC IM Client working for IPv6,
and hope to know if agsXMPP can help me achieve my goal.

Any reply will be very appreciated and thankful...

Hello,

at the moment it supports only IPv4. IPv6 is on our TODO list. Enabling support for IPv6 is only a very small hack because since .NET 1.1 IPv6 is supported.
Do you have a IPv6 server up and running for testing?

Hi,

I have a Jabber server (FC5 with Wildfire) in my lab but I have not turned the IPv6 functionality up.

Tomorrow I will turn the server up and enable its IPv6 functionality.

But I have not a pure IPv6 environment, so my server has to connect the IPv6 network with a tunnel broker.

I can't sure if it is a good testing environment.

And thanks for your reply....

Subject: Please test with the server
Hi,

I have made my wildfire IM server ready for IPv6, and its address is 3ffe:3600:1e::49b.
A Spark IM client had been tested and connected the server successfully.

Please test your agsXMPP with it, thank you very much!

Hi iamshyang,

what is the domain name of your server? XMPP servers are normally configured to domains and not to IPs.
DNS must of course resolve to your IPv6 IP.

Hi Alex:

I got a bad news.

Yesterday I tested the server in a closed pure IPv6 network and it was ok.
But when the server connected the IPv6 backbone, it was with a dual stack tunnel (our school without any router IPv6-Ready).

I am so sorry and will try to find a Jabber server in pure IPv6 Network.

thanks...
